A good quality water trampoline can make a world of difference to your family’s summer fun. Climbing and bouncing and splashing in the water will bring so much joy to your children.
And for you too; whether it’s watching them have such a great time or you join them in the fun, a water trampoline will be a purchase you won’t regret.
However, you do need to buy the right one for your needs. With so many on the market, deciding which to buy can be confusing.
There are a number of factors you need to consider before buying a water trampoline, the most important one is size. How many children will be using the bouncer at any one time? Will adults be joining in too? The more people involved, the larger trampoline you will need.
You also have to think about portability and storage. Will the bouncer stay moored in a private location all summer long, or will you need to set up and dismantle every time you plan on using it. Storage can be a nuisance of a large, cumbersome trampoline.
There’s also the issue of build quality to consider.
In this review round-up, you will find a selection of popular water bouncers. We have based our choices on verified customer reviews in tandem with intensive product research and analysis.

Water Trampoline Reviews
1. BEST LARGE OPTION: Island Hopper 17′ Bounce N Splash Padded Water Bouncer
For families that are after a big water bouncer that will put everything else to shame, look no further than the Island Hopper 17 FOOTER!!!
This beast can handle up to 5 kids bouncing at anyone time. More fun for them, less stress for you trying to limit the number of users.
Designed specifically for recreational users (Island Hopper also cater for the resorts market and took their knowledge from that to create something more suited to the home user), this is a durable water bouncer that comes with a 5-year limited warranty.
The high-quality design means that you shouldn’t need to call on that warranty anytime soon, however.
Featuring a spring-less, interlaced nylon webbing the bouncer really does provide one of the best water trampoline experiences out there.
The design also incorporates a tube flex surface that emphasizes the overall “bounce” factor. Children, friends, and family will be springing all over the place when using Island Hopper 17’.
That 5-year warranty also covers blowouts, but again this is rare on a bouncer of this type. The robust commercial-grade construction uses 1000 Denier PVC material. This won’t perish and is ultimately extremely strong.
As stated above, the maximum capacity is 5 kids or 1000lbs. The bouncer is held in place by 6 anchor-tie-D-rings (these are situated inside and under the tube).
A 6 step ladder is also provided for easy access to the top surface. There are also 12 swimming assist handles situated around the circumference of the tube.
The Island Hopper 17′ Bounce N Splash is simply a wonderful water trampoline. Big, strong and secure your family will experience nothing but joy using this thing.
Add all that to the generous 5-year limited warranty (they’ll fix or replace the bouncer if you experience a blowout!) and you have a water bouncer that just keeps on giving.
If your budget and available space stretch to a 17’ beast of a water trampoline, this is the one to buy.
2. BEST BUDGET: Rave Bongo Water Bouncer
Okay, so maybe the 17 foot monster above is way to big for your needs. The price-point might not have agreed with you either.
If that’s the case we bring you something a bit more middle ground.
In terms of size, the Rave Bongo Water Bouncer is still good. At 10’ in diameter, it can comfortably handle 2 children at the same time or 1 adult. (That will be me, hogging all the fun).
It is also very affordable too, hence being our best budget pick.
What you’ll also like about this water bouncer is how easy it is to set up. You can have this up and running in less than half an hour.
The simple set-up and lower cost stem from the fact that this uses an inflatable ring design, with sturdy, web jumping surface attached to the top. It takes less air basically!
And when it comes to inflating the ring, multiple valves around the body of the bouncer mean the more pumps (or mouths) on deck, the faster you will be in the water.
Furthermore, the fact the jumping surface is separate from the tube means it is fully replaceable. Should this get damaged or suffer from wear and tear after a few summer seasons, it will cost very little to get a new one.
Now you may be thinking, “how sturdy is it? My kids will be on that”. Here the reports vary.
Yes, you can moor this safely in position for use. However, when it comes to the sturdiness of the bouncing surface, the situation is problematic.
Basically, some users have had issues keeping the tension if the bouncer doesn’t hold air. (This can happen in colder climates for instance, due to the air inside contracting).
An anchor rope is included, however, Rave advises that you also attach an anchor weight of 35-45 pounds in order to keep the bouncer in place.
Finally, for the fun to keep on rolling, there’s a ton of accessories you can purchase that work with the Bongo Water Bouncer, (see tab below).
If you are on a budget the Rave Bongo water bouncer is a great option.
The ease of setting up and use, along with the list of extras you can add to it, mean you and your kids will be bouncing on this for many summers to come. Do consider the tension issues however, the bouncer may not be so suitable to colder climates as a result.
3. Goplus Inflatable Water Bouncer
For those looking for a 15-foot option, the Goplus is worth a look. (Although in the pursuit of clarity, Rave also do a 15’ option in the same style as the Bongo reviewed above – that too is a great bouncer)
As with all the water trampolines in our top 5, this is made to stand the test of time and the countless bounce of happy children.
That being said, the generous dimensions also mean that mummy and daddy can safely get a turn too. Which is why you are looking to buy one yes? Obviously!
The platform is made of 0.7mm PVC tarpaulin with 600D bungee cloth. If that means much to you, well done. The upshot is the bouncer is sturdy.
As with the Bongo reviewed above, the goplus is easy to transport and setup. Planning on spending a summer’s day at the lake? The hassle involved in bringing the water trampoline along will be low.
There’s even an electric pump included to help with the inflating, (come on Rave – why don’t you include one too?)
And when everyone is tired, you can push them off and use it to sunbathe on the water. How’s that for versatility.
If you’re after a 15’ option that will accommodate both you and your kids, you won’t go wrong with this offering from Goplus.
We would recommend that you check out the Rave Bongo 15’ too before you buy, however.
4. BEST SMALL OPTION: RAVE Sports O-Zone Plus Water Bouncer
If you have no intention of ever getting on the bouncer, (you won’t see more dead on that thing!) then a 15 or 17-foot option may seem like overkill.
Furthermore, your children might still be little imps still firmly attached to the water wings while in the water – if that’s the case, a 7-foot small trampoline could well be the order of the day.
For this, we firmly recommend (it is our top pick 7’ option) the Rave Sports O-Zone Plus.
Yes, we know – another option from Rave. We can’t help it, these guys simply know what they are doing when it comes to manufacturing the best water trampolines.
Designed to accommodate 3 children (maximum weight 600 lbs – that’s combined, not individual 🙂 ) this simply is a great option for the kids.
There are grab lines around the edges so that kids can pull themselves back to the platform.
The bouncer is also extremely light and portable (a benefit of the small size). If the kids suddenly announce that they want daddy to set up the bouncer, you will be able to oblige without breaking out in a sweat.
Durable construction is obligatory of course. Here Rave has used high quality 28 gauge PVC. The soft vinyl handles mean that no harmful abrasions can catch your little tykes as they go about their fun.
Our top pick 7-foot bouncer is just perfect for adults that want to watch the children have fun from the sidelines.
Built to accommodate 3 kids, the onus here is on safety and maximum enjoyment. The smaller size means its no issue to set up. The Rave Sports O-Zone is also portable and easy to store away at the end of the day. What more could you ask for?
5. Island Hopper 13′ Bounce N Splash Water Bouncer Natural Green
The final bouncer to make our top 5 is this medium-sized beast from Island Hopper.
Coming in at 13 feet, this is a water trampoline for parents that have a bit of space and would like to get in on the fun too.
The specifications and features are very similar to our top pick option from Island Hopper, (apart from the fact this is 13 feet across rather than 17 feet).
This means that the design quality and materials are the same; re-enforced 1,000-denier PVC is the name of the game here.
One difference with this, however, is that the manufactures only offer a 1-year warranty on this version. Has there been more complaints and they don’t want to pay out with repairs or replacements?
The cynic in me immediately thought this and took a look at the online reviews to see if previous customers had had issues with the longevity of the 13 feet version.
I couldn’t come up with much, I will be honest – previous buyers seem to be happy in this regard.
A Spring-less, interlaced nylon webbing mat is also included. This features a 0.5-inch foam perimeter padding to help keep the cherubs safe. (Are you impressed with the number of names I’ve come up with for children in this review? Imps, kids, cherubs, tykes – the list is long!)
Ultimately your sprogs are going to love bouncing on this thing.
There trampoline also comes with a mounting ladder, and convenient pull handles around the edges so that the children can get back on after splashing about in the water.
While the Island Hopper 13′ Bounce N Splash Water Bouncer didn’t receive any top pick award from us, this is still a great water trampoline for those looking for a mid-sized option.
With the Island Hopper seal of quality from a design and construction perspective, and some nice touches to increase child safety and comfort, this is a bouncer you can put in the water and know that your kids will have a great day.
